ULTRA LIGHT CONCEPT - ENJOY THE SILENCE

ABSTRACT

We live in a reality of radical needs for sustainable solutions in order to save our earth from the global warming. In my MA degree work I have developed how Sustainability, Lightness and Beauty could be strongly merge. The result is a low weight Maserati branded 2-seats roadster, with four electrical engines located next to every wheel. Designed with strong personal character for a unisex target group of the age 18-35. The concept got the purpose to be launched on worldwide market within 5 years.

THE GLOBAL WARMING

Our earth atmosphere protects the warmness not to live the planet. Since the human started to use coal, gas and oil in rapid way the temperatures are rising. This gives our reality some consequences. Increasing hurricanes, 50 % more today than 30 years ago. The Arctic Ocean will not have any ice in summer 2050. More catastrophes can be expected in the future - if we dont change our attitude to new solutions.

TARGET GROUP

The consumer leads a life largely devoted to mastering the rules of success. But he/she also knows that playing by the rules all the time can be narrow and fulfilling. And he/she wants others to know that they have knowledge and expertise that play out in the world outside of work. There may be times when this consumer wants something more individual that allows him/her to demonstrate his knowledge. At these times he/she may turn to a less mainstream. Turns into luxury.

DESIGN SOLUTION

After several design development steps the final design is enhanced with more details. In additional I gave the object the brand identity of Maserati. A luxury touch is the zebra textile in the interior.

THE RESULT

The result is a 2 seats roadster with electrical engine. The focus has been on the lightness with additional beauty attributes as harmony of lines, freshness and sustainable feeling of the whole concept. I think there is a interesting potential in this concept to develop further.
