This creative mood board was the very first starting point for the project. With safety thinking in mind and "fashionation" as a reference the project was started.

The project started with personal observations. By walking around Milano and shooting different commuters and scooters and what kind of relation the drivers got to their vehicle. Quite soon I sorted out four different user scenarios.

  1. The Transporter – Age 40 – 55. Keywords: Functionality, Safety, All weather, Everyday, Road Worker
  2. The Business man – Age 40 - 55 Keywords: Superlative Consumption, High education, Richness, Safety, Gentleman
  3. The Trendy young man – Age 18 – 30 – Keywords: Urbanization, Beauty is important, Urbanization, Fashion, Variation of quality, Technology Consumption
  4. The revolt girl – Age: 16 - 25 Keywords: Personalization, Context, Archetypical Consumption, Importance of Politics, Quick Thinker, Rock n’ Roll

This is Rocky Anna, 23 years old and currently living in Copenhagen. She pays attention to consumption for occasion and architypical consumption and heritage and history. For the future at she intends to move to Milano and study at Domus Academy.

Rocky Anna - attention to historical transportation

By thinking what is attracting to Rocky Anna mind, a couple of pictures give indications to the design process. It's about the Fiat 500, Citroen from 1972 and of course the interaction of feeling free at a bike.

Honda Shadow. By studing existing scooters in order of porportions, surface and lines made me to understand the sense of it to continue with more sketches.

It's about emotional shapes with good harmony of lines.

This research sketch has the purpose to meet the racing bike approach with the historical and archetypical approach of Vespa.

Rocky Anna Bike' with Domus Academy branded approach. The idea is interesting for the lowriding style. For future the front wheel probably have to size down a bit for production.
